Developer tools
Small tools for developers that run entirely in your browser: build and explain cron schedules, convert Unix timestamps (including Discord timestamps), and decode JSON Web Tokens without sending them anywhere.
Which developer tool do I need?
- Writing or reading a cron schedule: the cron expression generator explains any five-field expression in plain English, flags mistakes and lists the next run times.
- Converting epoch time: the Unix timestamp converter goes both ways, detects seconds or milliseconds, and builds Discord timestamp codes.
- Looking inside a token: the JWT decoder shows the header and claims, with expiry times as dates.
Local by design
All three tools run entirely in your browser. A token, expression or timestamp you paste is processed on your device and never sent to a server, which you can confirm in your browser's network panel. Even so, treat live production secrets with care on any website.
Each page cites the primary reference it follows: the crontab manual and POSIX specification, Discord's developer documentation, and the JWT and base64url RFCs.
Common questions
Does the JWT decoder verify signatures?
No. It decodes, which anyone can do with a JWT. Verifying a signature needs the key, so do that on your server with your JWT library.
Which cron syntax is supported?
Standard five-field crontab syntax. Systems such as Quartz and AWS use different fields, and the page notes the main differences.
